At Fred. Olsen, we’re a little different to the bigger cruise lines, and proudly so. Cruising, to us, is about enjoying the journey and seeing the world in comfort and style. It’s also about choice – the freedom to explore your way. It’s travel at its most rewarding: unhurried, carefully ....more

Fabulous cruise from Newcastle to Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Excellent food choices for vegetarians. Loved the Lido Deck with swimming pool. Attentive staff and steady ship so no seasickness.
Loved our first ever Cruise with Fred Olsen. We were so impressed by the staff, Jules in the Morning bar and Mikhe in the restaurant looked after us so well. The food was excellent and getting on and off the ship was so well organised. My hilight had to be the staff show, it was so well put together. Will definitely be back.
Fred Olsen cruises are awesome! I was the Stage MAGICIAN here on the Boudicca last year and it was first class, they really know how to look after you! Highly recommended! (See pics!) Hope to be back on here soon!! -TOM WRIGHT MAGICIAN!
We departed from the port of tyne Newcastle. From parking to getting on the ship was really easy with no hold ups. Our cabin was clean and comfortable and all activities detailed on a daily newsletter. The staff on the ship were absolutely the best and nothing is too much trouble.. They are a credit to Fred olsen organisation. Food in all the restaurants was brilliant with loads to choose from. Daily and evening entertainment was also excellent and we enjoyed all the evening shows. We declined the Internet as the cost was too expensive. We were surprised to see a few children as in our opinion this is for the more mature clientele. Also be prepared for the odd choppy day/night as the north sea can be character building. Last but not least have a look at your bill as the company added £30 a day Each for restaurant and housekeeping gratuidies and we felt this should be up to the individual to pay if the service was good.... We had this removed from our bill and tipped the last night of the trip.
The four of us boarded Borealis in the afternoon of 7th May at Newcastle this year. We cruised to the small Scottish Islands visiting Stornaway, Portree, Scara Brae and Skaill House. The ship was wonderful, dining was a delight, the staff were so helpful and the entire cruise was excellent! Looking forward to our next cruise with Fred Olson.
